Who We Are
Our Mission:
Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive online writing group for individuals studying or working in health professions, providing them with a platform to share their writings and explore the science and art of medicine, social justice, public health, science, and the creative arts. We aim to foster a community that encourages the exchange of ideas, cultivates creativity, and promotes personal and professional growth among our members.
Our Vision:
Our vision is to establish an empowering and dynamic online space where health professionals and students can express their thoughts, experiences, and insights through writing. We strive to inspire a deeper understanding and appreciation of the intersection between medicine, social justice, public health, science, and the creative arts. By providing a platform for sharing diverse perspectives and fostering meaningful discussions, we aspire to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, compassion, and empathy within the field of medicine.
Our Statement:
Pulse and Prose is currently accepting article submissions from individuals studying and/or working in the health professions. We welcome a wide range of content, including poetry, evidence-based science, political discourse, social justice topics, and more. It is important that all articles submitted to us have not been previously published elsewhere or are under consideration by another journal. We prioritize well-written and grammatically correct pieces that effectively communicate ideas and insights.
To ensure academic integrity, any material borrowed from other sources must be appropriately cited and referenced using AMA, APA, or another recognized citing/referencing style. While we value diverse perspectives and encourage freedom of expression, we kindly request that submissions maintain a respectful tone and substance.
At Pulse and Prose, we are dedicated to providing a platform for thought-provoking and insightful content from professionals in the health field. We look forward to receiving your submissions and engaging in meaningful discussions within our community.
